Wrestling

Well on Saturday we had our little Senior Day it was suppose to be on Wednesday, but Winslow did not show up. So on Saturday we were going to wrestle against two other teams. We were going to wrestle against Window Rock and Winslow. I was so pumped up to wrestle in front of our home crowd. When we finally were weighing in I found out that Window Rock did not have a person for me to wrestle I was all sad, but Winslow had a person for me though. I was thinking to myself well at least I will have one match today. We were going to wrestle Window Rock first then Winslow second so I had to wait awhile for my match. When we were up against Winslow I was getting my mind set on wrestling my hardest against the other person. The team was doing great winning their matches pretty quick. It was finally my turn to wrestle I was all excited to wrestle. I never went up against the Winslow guy, but I saw him wrestle before. I checked in went to the center of the mat to wrestle, but then my hand got raised. The referee told me I had a forfeit. The guy I was supposed to wrestle went up a weight class so he would not have to wrestle against me. When I was heading back to the team I had a sad face on. I was all mad and sad because I wanted to wrestle. We still won against Winslow though which was a good thing. Well this weekend is sectionals so I want to do the very best I can to take it one last time. 

My senior year is already almost over. We are more than half way through the year. Football season is over it was not a real great season. In wrestling I just have a couple of more weeks left. This week on Wednesday is our Senior Night we are going to be going up against Winslow. During football season I had a great time being able to be with the team and play together one last time.  We did not have the best season overall. We lost most of our games but we were able to win here and there. I did not really seem to care what the outcome came to I just had a great time playing with the players. I know I will never get to play with them anymore after this year. I got to know some of the coaches pretty well and they have gotten to know me. Some of the coach me in other sports I do for the school. For example, Coach Bokker has coached me in football as a lineman and in then he coaches me in wrestling. I have done football for all four years at the school and I have wrestled three years while finishing out my fourth year. I have been improving ever year it seems like. One of my goals when I started wrestling my freshman year was to get my name up on the wall. So this is going to be my last year to get my name up on the wall hopes I can do it. This year I have placed in a couple of wrestling tournaments. I have place third at Pat Kenny and the Camp Verde Duals. At Peoria, one of the toughest wrestling tournaments in the state, I made it further then I did last year. So overall this year I have wrestled better. This week we as a wrestling team have two wrestling duals.  One of them I said was going to be on Wednesday which is going to be Senior Night. The other one is going to be on Saturday which is going to be a multiple against three other teams. These are the last few matches we will get before going to sectionals. I record this year is way better they the past few years. I have only lost about seven matches five of them have been by points. The other two was when I got pinned. The guy from Peoria is the one who pinned me twice. He is a pretty good wrestler. He is Navajo and is a senior. So he is the only guy that has pinned me this year. I am planning to never get pin again this year anymore. I am willing to fight against the other wrestler tell that referee tells me that I am pinned. It might hurt my body but I know after their match I gave it all I got. So I hope to won all my matches this week so I can be seated high in sectionals.
